Starting keeper for Canada
St. Clair is set to be the starter in goal for Canada as they play in the 2026 World Cup.
Analysis: St. Clair is joining Canada for a second World Cup in his career, although this one should go a bit differently than the last, as he is now expected to be their regular starter in net after a backup role last time. The keeper has served in the MLS since going pro, serving mainly with Minnesota until a transfer to Miami this season. He was one of the better keepers in the league last campaign before a bit of a rough start with Miami, currently allowing two goals per appearance while only having two clean sheets in 14 starts. He will need to be at his best if Canada wants to make a run, as seven goals allowed in the group stage last tournament were a major reason for their exit before the knockouts. However, playing in not the strongest group could be a major help, potentially set for one clean sheet between one of their first three games against Switzerland, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Qatar.
Concedes four, wins anyway
St. Clair allowed four goals while making six saves during Sunday's 6-4 win over Philadelphia.
Analysis: St. Clair allowed all four goals in the first half, but blanked Philadelphia in the second as Miami came away with all three points. The keeper has allowed seven goals while combining for 10 saves and keeping a clean sheet over his last three starts. Miami have a home clash against Chicago following the World Cup on July 22nd.
Keeps clean sheet in win
St. Clair recorded four saves and allowed zero goals in Sunday's 2-0 win against Portland Timbers.
Analysis: St. Clair logged his second clean sheet in the season to help Miami win at home. The goalkeeper made four or more saves for the fourth time in 13 starts. He will now look to keep the momentum against Philadelphia on Sunday.
Struggles in win
St. Clair recorded no saves and allowed three goals in Wednesday's 5-3 victory against FC Cincinnati.
Analysis: St. Clair allowed three goals on only three shots during a frustrating match Wednesday. He still earned the win during the clash, but failing to make a single save is a disappointing showing. St. Clair will hope he can bounce back and offer his team a little more support next time out despite coming off a win.
Five saves in 4-3 defeat
St. Clair had five saves and allowed four goals in Saturday's 4-3 defeat against Orlando City SC. In addition, he was given a yellow card in the 50th minute.
Analysis: St. Clair made five saves but conceded four goals as Inter Miami threw away a 3-0 lead to lose 4-3 in the final moments. The keeper has kept one clean sheet so far this season and has made four or more saves in each of the last three games. This was his first time since the season opener that he has conceded three or more goals.
Concedes one
St. Clair registered six saves and allowed one goal in Saturday's 1-1 draw against New England Revolution.
Analysis: St. Clair made six saves and conceded following the long a long throw. He has now accumulated 13 saves and three clearances in the last five games and conceded eight times in that span. Next, he takes on Orlando City SC, who have netted seven in the last four games.
